Frequently Asked Questions
Hair Extensions FAQs
Q: How long do hair extensions last?
A: The lifespan of hair extensions depends on the type and how well they are maintained. Tape-in extensions last 6–8 weeks, sew-in extensions can last up to 3 months, and clip-in extensions can last over a year with proper care.
Q: Can I wash my hair with extensions?
A: Yes! Use a sulfate-free shampoo and wash your hair gently in a downward motion. Avoid excessive scrubbing or tangling. Always apply conditioner from mid-length to ends, not on the roots.
Q: Can I sleep with wet hair extensions?
A: No, always dry your extensions before bed to prevent tangling and breakage. For extra protection, braid your hair or use a silk pillowcase.
Q: Can I reuse my hair extensions?
A: Yes, tape-in, sew-in, and clip-in extensions can be reused if properly maintained. Our stylists can help reposition and reapply them.
Q: Do hair extensions damage natural hair?
A: When installed and maintained correctly, hair extensions do not damage your natural hair. We use high-quality, professional application methods to ensure the health of your natural hair.
Hair Coloring & Styling FAQs
Q: What is dimensional hair color?
A: Dimensional hair color is a technique that combines multiple shades (highlights, lowlights, and balayage) to add depth and richness to your hair, creating a natural and multi-tonal effect.
Q: How often should I refresh my hair color?
A: It depends on the type of color you choose:
-
Root touch-ups: Every 4–6 weeks
-
Balayage/Highlights: Every 8–12 weeks
-
Fashion colors (vivid shades): Every 3–4 weeks
Q: Can I go from dark to blonde in one session?
A: Not always. If you have dark hair, achieving blonde may take multiple sessions to maintain hair health. Our stylists will create a customized hair-lightening plan to safely reach your desired shade.
Q: What is the best way to maintain colored hair?
A: Use a color-safe, sulfate-free shampoo, avoid frequent washing, and use heat protectant sprays when styling. We also recommend regular deep conditioning treatments.
